Annemarie Vernege MICB, Certified Bookkeeper

As clichéd as it sounds, I have always loved numbers, starting with maths at primary school. So I decided I should be an accountant, as one does. However, once I started training as an accounts assistant, I realised that all the parts of managing accounts that I really loved came under the heading of bookkeeping.

I’ve been a dental nurse, administrator, childminder, exams invigilator, and owned and managed a Jamaican takeaway and restaurant. Finance and organisation were a part of all these roles and now I’ve come back to my first love – numbers – as a fully qualified bookkeeper.

I come from a large family of twelve and have three children of my own. Having grown up in Walthamstow, lived all over London and in St Lucia, I have now settled in Catford. I love how green Southeast London is and enjoy working with local businesses.

When I’m not taking care of the accounts for sole traders I like camping, walking, massage and spa therapy.

I like working with you. I feel safe knowing you have my back and I have your support.

Communicative

We’ll communicate by email, with occasional phone calls for clarifying details and discussing your business needs in depth.

Organised

I love processes and systems. You can be sure your documents, financial information and business are in the safest of hands.

Relaxed

While I love the structure of bookkeeping, as a person I’m more laid-back, so our business relationship will be friendly and informal.

A Bookkeeper's Worth

It takes more than 10 minutes to press a button.

We know where to find the black holes.

We know where the likely problems are.

We've checked your paperwork...

It's taken us X number of years to get qualified,

X number of pounds.

We know the regulations.

And we are keeping track of those deadlines.

~ KCS

I had a problem with my online business and Annemarie assisted me in planning a budget to help me manage my sole trading business more efficiently. I highly recommend.
